YOGA
Kristine first discovered yoga during her last year of college. At the time, she was stressed out with the pressures of trying to figure out what to do after graduation. Yoga became a way for Kristine to practice pranayama both on and off the mat.
In 2010, Kristine did her first 200HR yoga training at Power Yoga Works in Philadelphia with Bill Raup and went on to continue studying yoga with Baron Baptiste for 10 years. She has a certification in trauma-informed through Street Yoga in Seattle, WA and has a Level 2 certification to teach yoga for traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors and their care-takers through Love Your Brain Yoga. During the pandemic, Kristine studied mind based mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) meditation. Kristine was board President for Roots2Rise in Philadelphia, creating accessible yoga programs in underserved communities. Kristine has also led and facilitated yoga trainings for teachers to bring mindfulness and yoga practices to the classroom as well as facilitating workshops for yoga teacher trainings.
Kristine’s approach to her yoga classes is to cultivate a rhythm of breath that will move you powerfully and naturally from pose to pose.
Kristine currently teaches at Ohm Grown Yoga in Collingswood, NJ.
GO YOGA
GO YOGA is an apparel company founded by Kristine Go. GO YOGA was meant to be a creative outlet to advocate sustainable manufacturing and mindful design (all of our pants are made from recycled poly, designed in-house & manufactured in small batches in North America). As the brand started to evolve, Kristine noticed that there was more that can be done within designing & creating artisanal yoga pants. Rather than looking at ways to make a larger profit & expand - which is counter productive to being sustainable, Kristine decided to scale back & keep manufacturing small & on-demand to support non-profit projects. As of 2019, portion of our profits for GO YOGA goes directly to the GO LIVE FOUNDATION, whose mission is to make art & wellness a part of every community.
